46th Annual Conference of the American Translators Association
November 9-12, 2005

Your Northwest colleagues are delighted to welcome you to the City of Seattle, Washington for the 46th Annual Conference of the American Translators Association. The ATA has their official site, but we hope to give you the inside skinny--the stuff that the natives know--right here on this Web site. Do check back often, since we're actively soliciting and compiling recommendations from the locals.

The Conference will be held in the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle. If you're looking for session and event schedules, please click over to the ATA Conference site. But remember to come back here! We've got information on transportation options, both for getting here and once you're in our fair city. Of course, you'll need to eat, and we've been diligently checking out restaurants and such. (It's a rough job, but someone has to do it!) We can heartily recommend planning to stay an extra day (or two!). Seattle is a beautiful city in a spectacular natural setting. There are plenty of tourist attractions, as well as first-class cultural offerings and sporting activities. If you're thinking of bringing the family, please do! Be sure to check out our families page, and let us know if child care is something you're interested in. Finally, we've got a couple of pages devoted to practicalities: the weather and how to get the local news, and how to take care of business while you're here in Seattle. We hope to see you here! |
