A national not-for-profit association established in 1959, ATA has over 9,000 members throughout the US and abroad. Among its professional activities, it holds an annual conference every fall, publishes a monthly magazine, The ATA Chronicle, and offers certification in several language pairs. Members can also belong to divisions within the Association, such as the Chinese Language Division, the French Language Division, the German Language Division, the Interpreters Division, the Italian Language Division, the Japanese Language Division, the Literary Division, the Middle Eastern Languages Division (MELD), the Nordic Division, the Portuguese Language Division, the Slavic Languages Division, the Spanish Language Division, or the Translation Company Division.

National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT)
