Medical Interpreting SIG
The Medical Interpreting SIG is dedicated to promoting professionalism and excellence in interpretive services to enhance the provision of health and social services to ethnic communities. The group sponsors regular forums to further its goals.

The Northwest Linguist
NOTIS and its sister organization WITS jointly publish a quarterly newsletter with articles, events and other information of interest to translators and interpreters. Members receive the newsletter free with their membership. Non-members may subscribe for $12.00 a year. Contact the Newsletter Editor Kathryn German at translationskg@comcast.net for further information on submissions and advertising.
Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee serves to pool resources for the education of potential translation services users. The Committee is involved in promoting NOTIS as a source of local professional translators and interpreters. Part of the Outreach Committee is finding and maintaining opportunities to raise awareness for the profession as a whole.
