Attention: This event has been postponed indefinitely. When it is rescheduled, we'll be sure to let you know!  The Literary Translators will be gathering for an informal meeting and discussion instead. -NOTIS

NOTIS and Folio's series of events for literary translators continues in October as we highlight the field of game translation and localization. Localization specialists from game companies here in Seattle will join us to talk about the role translators play in bringing computer and video games to an international market, whether game translation is "literary" translation, and how the translation process differs for game texts. Participants will have the chance to work on short exercises that highlight the challenges typical of translating for games.

This event is free to NOTIS and Folio members. Attendance is $10 for members of the general public. Please register in advance so we know to expect you.

Please note we are not offering continuing education credits for this event. ATA members may apply directly to ATA for credit.
