NOTIS is proud to team up with At The Inkwell to celebrate National Translation Month again this year with another free evening of readings by translators and lovers of translation! Join us at Vermillion in Seattle to meet passionate readers and writers, participate in the open mic, and celebrate diverse literature and the people who bring it to you.

Words and Worlds In Translation honors the challenging and important task of bringing worlds and writers into the English language. We will also honor how writers and readers alike find joy and inspiration from translated words, worlds, and writers.

Audience members are welcome to bring a short piece/excerpt of beloved translated work to read in an open mic format after the featured readers conclude and the celebration of their work and words continues.

Featured readers: Eric Abrahamsen, Jalayna Carter, Erin Gilbert, Wendell Ricketts. Introduction by NOTIS vice president Shelley Fairweather-Vega.
