WASCLA Language Access Summit: "Together Everyone Achieves More"

At the 2018 WASCLA Summit, we’ll be examining the essential components needed to create high-quality language access services for programs and agencies statewide to serve limited English proficient and Deaf individuals. We invite you to TEAM up with our efforts to make language accessibility work for everyone, as we learn about what’s in place now, new efforts underway, and to work on action plans to move language access in Washington forward. WASCLA's annual meeting will also take place during the Summit.

The Summit has been approved for 4.5 continuing education credits by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) and for 6 credits, including 1.5 optional ethics credits, from the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC).

The AOC is also offering 2 credits to court interpreters who attend a special on-site forum immediately following the Summit to share input with the Washington State Supreme Court Interpreter Commission.

We will be sharing additional CEU information as soon as other credentialing bodies for interpreters, attorneys, and teachers notify us of approvals. Please see the Summit registration page for more information.
