The Audiovisual Division is suggesting that this time, the audiovisual translators meet at this great Seattle monthly event called The Mixer (https://themixerseattle.com/), where the Seattle creative community gather and exchange. The event will focus on Creative Economy, with talks and lots of people to meet.

Vancouver – August 31^st

Join your fellow audiovisual translators around a cup of coffee for our first meetup in Vancouver. This will be a special gathering, as we are celebrating the first anniversary of our AVD with meetups in Seattle and Vancouver the same week.

Experienced, beginner, newbie translators, all are welcome.
We will discuss our love of subtitling, film and translation, share tips and resources, exchange on the issues we experience, talk about the industry, network and make new connections.
It will be great to connect with colleagues and meet face to face!
