Archipelago Books invites readers to celebrate Cheon Myeong-kwan's novel Whale, translated by Chi-Young Kim and recently shortlisted for the International Booker Prize. Whale is a masterpiece of modern fiction blending farce, social critique, fable and fantasy. Myeong-kwan will be in town for a few short days, and will discuss his novel with UW scholar and writer Heekyoung Cho.
